"The Jelly Set"

July 2006 Made during my ceramics class at the Summer High School Program at Snow Farm. I'm not much of a ceramicist, but I do like tea and I do like jellyfish, so I made some gross mugs. Seriously, how cool would it be to drink an opaque beverage out of one of these and have a little ceramic jellyfish just chilling out in your drink? I think it'd be pretty cool, but I wouldn't know because my mom insists that these would break in the dishwasher and so no one uses them. Sadly. From left to right, they are: "children of jelly", "jelly bathes", "jelly clings", and "inverted jelly". These are hand-built. |
