March 2005 Half-true story. |
|
Someone drew a peace sign On the busy grey sidewalk I don't know who put it there In their bright orange chalk Someone scratched a peace sign In my old school desk's wood I don't know who put it there But I'd smile for them if I could Someone sprayed a peace sign In graffiti on the brick I don't know who put it there And they're my stranger-friend, I think Someone hung a peace sign On a flag above their home I don't know who put it there But I know I'm not alone Now I draw a peace sign With my bright green chalk I know someone will notice it On the busy grey sidewalk. |
